HELPING BELIEVERS BECOMES DISCIPLES
   GC's  education ministry is committed to fulfilling the great commission of Jesus Christ. Making disciples is an on-going process that calls on Christians to constantly study and incorporate God’s word into their lives.

   The education ministry oversees the planning, training and staffing of our educational ministry. See below for more information about educational opportunities for children, youth and adults.

      Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

     Overseeing the Children’s portion of the Education Ministry is Heather Ward. Children’s classes (Cradle Roll- Fifth Grade) are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and Wednesday evenings at 7:00.  On Sunday mornings during Joe's lesson the children have their own time where they learn through puppets or stories. On Wednesdays the children have a special meeting time upstairs at 7:45 where they sing and a quick wrap up of what was taught in class.

These classes are designed to supplement the teaching the children receive at home from their parents.

Grand Central’s Youth Ministry ensures that the classes, small groups, Bible Bowl practices and devotionals are coordinated in such a way as to present a cohesive message to teens about the good news of Jesus Christ.

Classes for teens meet on Sunday mornings (9:30) and Wednesday evenings (7:00) at the Youth House, next to the church building on 59th Street.  There is a teen small group called Revolution that meets on Sunday evenings from 5-7 at the Youth House to study God’s word, pray together, fellowship and have some fun. The adult education ministry emphasizes the power of the Word to transform Christians. Bernie Bice, one of Grand Central’s deacons, helps to provide support services and coordination of the classes offered to adults.  Classes emphasize the need to study the Bible and to reflect on how the truths found there are to transform the lives of believers.
