Annual Blessing of the Children Sunday
Father's Day, June 21
The Psalmist declares children to be a blessing from God (Psalm 127). Fathers and mothers who are seeking to building godly homes recognize the awesome responsibility that has been entrusted to them by God. As a church we seek to support families and together ask for God's blessing.
Each Father's Day our elders invite all the children of the congregation to come forward. These children, often still in their parents' arms, are then surrounded by these spiritual guides as they pray for God's guidance, presence, and blessing in their lives.
In addition to the prayers by our elders two of our preachers, Brian Grubbs (Involvement) and Ryan Ice (Youth & Children), will bring devotional messages designed to encourage and challenge each family and our larger church family as we seek to show our children Jesus.
