My community group is like my family. I need the time together with others Christians to talk about what is happening in my Christian walk, to pray together and to encourage one another.
~ Member of a GC Community Group
We've been members of Grand Central for more than 35 years but after our kids grew up we began to feel less connected. It was our community group which helped us get reconnected. We don't ever want to miss.
~ A small group member at Grand Central
Christians have been meeting in small groups since the beginning of the church in Jerusalem (Acts 2:42-47; 5:42; Romans 16:5; 1 Corinthians 16:19; Colossians 4:15).
Community Groups provide an open atmosphere where questions are encouraged, friends can discuss the hard issues (and some that aren't so difficult), and all may be encouraged. Members can open up in a less threatening setting, comfortably share what is on their hearts, and pray for one another.
Community groups provide a relational glue that can help to hold us together.
