We strive to be a cornerstone in the community, offering support and spiritual guidance through meaningful fellowship, heartfelt worship, and intentional acts of service that reflect the love of Christ. Our doors are open to everyone seeking purpose, connection, and a place where they can grow in faith alongside others.

We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.Â
We gather in worship assemblies where everyone is invited to lift their voices and hearts in praise to God. Together, we celebrate His presence and encourage one another in faith.
We cherish our children and youth, recognizing that they hold a special place at the center of our church family. Their growth, joy, and faith development remain a vital part of our mission.
We meet in Community Groups, Bible classes, and small gatherings to study God’s word and explore its real-world application. In these spaces, we support one another and learn to live more fully for Christ.

Visitors to Grand Central are welcomed with genuine care and invited to join in heartfelt worship, Bible study, and Christ-centered fellowship where Scripture guides everything we do. As we pray, sing, share Communion, and serve together, we seek to honor Jesus and support one another in growing closer to God.
Here’s what you can expect. 😊
As a visitor to Grand Central you will be warmly welcomed by people who genuinely care about you and your family. You'll also be invited to join with us in worshipping our God!
Whether you arrive on Sunday morning--or on a Wednesday evening--you will find groups of people studying their Bibles as they seek to understand God's will for their lives. Some classes are more presentation "style" while others include lively small group discussions. There are several classes for adults; and classes for children and teens.
You'll quickly notice we love to sing praises to God at Grand Central, and that the words of the songs are designed to teach and encourage you (Colossians 3:16). The only instrument of music that we use is our hearts (Ephesians 5:19).
On Sunday mornings we set aside time to remember Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross. As in the first century, this is done as we share bread and the fruit of the vine. During this time we are reminded that it is only through Christ's sacrifice that we have been able to become his (1 Corinthians 11:17-34).
A collection is also taken each Sunday. This is a time when members are asked to give to support the work of our congregation (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8:1-15). We do not ask or expect our guests to give.
At various times during our assemblies prayers are offered by various members (1 Timothy 2:1-8). These reflect our dependence upon God and our desire for his leading in our lives.
As you would expect, the Bible is read and referred to quite often at Grand Central. Whether it is a public reading of scripture or preaching (1 Timothy4:13), the Bible serves as the basis for all that is taught here; and all we believe.
We frequently greet one another during our times together, and announcements let those in attendance know about news and events happening in the life of our church. More detailed information is published in our bulletin/newsletter, available in the church lobby.
Every church which belongs to Christ will seek to honor the great "co-mission" given by Jesus Christ to his followers as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
We like to say it like this: Grand Central is a Church that is...Helping People Find Jesus" and "Helping Believers Become Disciples."
👉 Grand Central's Vision is "to be a community of believers."
We're so glad you asked! Contact the church office at 304-295-5116 or email us below. A ministry staff member, or one of our shepherds/elders look forward to sitting down and speaking with you about your decision.
Grand Central is committed to being the presence of Christ in the lives of our neighbors, in our community, and around the world. This includes helping families in with specific needs; providing community activities for children, youth, and adults; preparing and serving meals for the homeless; sponsoring the annual Christmas Store; volunteering in the community; supporting world mission works on three continents, and constantly seeking to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
To ensure accountability, gifts to Grand Central are counted and recorded by multiple individuals. Quarterly spending reports are made available to all members and each week's giving is recorded in the weekly Bulletin. An annual budget is produced each year with the assistance of the finance committee, the numerous member-led ministries, and the oversight of Grand Central's Shepherds/Elders.
The monies collected support the various ministries of the congregation. Recently, many have indicated they believe it wise for a church to "tithe" (give 10%) of the monies collected for outreach activities (outwardly focused activities that do not directly benefit members). In recent years Grand Central has been blessed to spend over 20% of its budget on such efforts.
We want to help. If you need someone to help with a funeral service, contact the church office at 304-295-5116 or a ministry staff member. For weddings, Grand Central requires at least three pre-martial counseling sessions. Contact the church office for a copy of Grand Central's wedding policy.
Do you rent out your facilities for meetings, banquets, receptions and other non-religious events?
Yes. Please contact the church office at 304-295-5116 or email us below to ask about your options.
